Mo the Buffalo

FirstSouthwest shares a unique corporate mascot, Mo the Buffalo, with parent company PlainsCapital Corporation. “Mo” is short for "Momentum", symbolizing the strength, stability, pride and momentum of the PlainsCapital family of companies.

“We wanted to pick a name that means something to our employees,” says PlainsCapital Corporation Chairman and CEO Alan B. White. “Momentum is one of my favorite words. You have to have Momentum to achieve your goals in life."

In 2006, Mo became the company's live mascot.  He makes appearances at events to represent PlainsCapital and FirstSouthwest. Owned by Mark Worthington and his daughter Bree, Mo makes his home in Weatherford, Texas.
