Effective December 4, we launched our updated brand that reflects our December 2008 merger with PlainsCapital Corporation, a 21-year-old financial services company with $4.7 billion in assets. PlainsCapital Corporation is also parent company to PlainsCapital Bank, the 9th largest bank in Texas by deposits, and PrimeLending, a residential mortgage originator with offices nationwide.
The merger with PlainsCapital has proved to be an excellent fit for FirstSouthwest due to the similar cultures and histories of our companies. We both share the strong core values of honesty, integrity and dedication to hard work.
With our updated brand, we have a new logo that includes the PlainsCapital corporate symbol, the buffalo, which stands for our strength, stability, momentum and longevity as a company.
We have also launched a new website that reflects our new look and is designed to provide you with useful information about our firm, our employees and our services.
