FirstSouthwest Delivers 200 Coats to Elementary School

As temperatures dropped to record lows in Dallas, Texas, employees at FirstSouthwest delivered 200 new winter coats to students at William Anderson Elementary School.

FirstSouthwest employees caravaned to the school on Friday, January 8, to deliver the coats to students after the school’s staff made an urgent request for warm coats.

FirstSouthwest employees went beyond their internal goal of providing 100 coats and donated enough money to purchase 200 coats.

Over the past five years, FirstSouthwest and its employees have partnered with the school to provide school uniforms and Christmas presents for the students and their families. Students also visited the company’s headquarters in downtown Dallas to learn about finance and the corporate world.

“We are delighted to partner with William Anderson Elementary to make an impact in the lives of students,” said Boyd London, managing director of FirstSouthwest. “We can’t think of a worthier cause and are glad to step up to the plate when students need our help. We hope our efforts will encourage other companies and their employees to find ways to lend a hand.”
